Kothu is an upcoming Malayalam-language
political thriller film directed by CB Malail and written by Hemanth Kumar. It
stars Asif Ali, Nikhila Vimal and Roshan Mathew in lead roles, while Sudev
Nair, Suresh Krishna and Vijilesh Karayad play other parts. Cinematography by
Prashant Ravindran, original score by Jakes Bejoy, original songs composed by
Kailas Menon. The film is produced by Ranjith and PM Sasidharan under the label
Gold Coin Motion Picture Company.
Structure
The film, based on true events, shows the lives of political
party members in Northern Kerala and their fights as a result of their appetite
for violence and insurrection.
